The sci-fi anime film AS ONE has received a main visual and a short trailer as it flies closer to its  August 22 JST release date.

The trailer includes a preview of the newly announced theme song “Meguriboshi” by JO1’s RUKI, who is playing male protagonist You (credited as Ruki Shioriwa).

AS ONE is inspired by the arcade game Starwing Paradox and is reported to be set 20 years before the game. The premise sees You, an aspiring musician from present day Earth, hearing a cry for help in their mind one day and becoming engulfed in white light. Meanwhile, the robot mechanic Lako, while trying to stop massive falling space debris, falls into a coma and meets You in their consciousness. Lako is from the planet Meguriboshi, where two factions have been warring over its energy resource for a long time and are currently working towards a ceasefire.
