The official Twitter/X account for the upcoming A Wild Last Boss Appeared! TV anime series has released a sneak peek of the first episode for a limited time, as well as announced four new cast members. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2025.
The sneak peek video showcases the first 174 seconds (roughly two and a half minutes) of episode one, and will only be available to view for a limited time. The video does not have English subtitles.
Meanwhile, the four newly announced cast will voice members of the Seven Heroes and include:

- • Tomoaki Maeno as Megrez
- • Daisuke Hirakawa as Merak
- • Satomi Akesaka as Benetnash
They join a previously announced voice cast that stars:

- • Yukina Shuto as Aries
- • Hisako Tojo as Libra
- • Naoya Uchida as Aigokeros
- • Mika Kanai as Parthenos

NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan recently hosted the world premiere of A Wild Last Boss Appeared! at this year’s Anime Expo.
Yuya Horiuchi (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Season 2 assistant director) is directing the anime series, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Flower and Asura) as series screenwriter and Maiko Ebisawa (Love Live! Superstar!! Season 3 Episode 8 co-dance part animation director) as character designer. Takashi Kobayashi and Shota Ueno are credited as sub-character designers, while Wao World is handling the animation production.
The anime is based on the isekai dark fantasy light novel series, written by Firehead and illustrated by YahaKo, which was first published by Earth Star Entertainment on February 15, 2016 and ended on April 15, 2019. Nine total volumes were released during its publication.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki in June 2017. The original Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel began in October 2015 and concluded in April 2019.
