Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will be releasing the compilation film in select U.S. theatres. Tickets are now on sale and more details on those and theater locations are available here

The first 12-episode season of Tokyo Ghoul celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2014 since its initial premiere in Japan on July 4, 2014. A special exhibition of the anime series was held in Tokyo and Osaka late last year and a key visual was released in March 2024.

Additionally, a special collaborative music video of TK from Ling Tosite Sigure’s “unravel” (the main opening theme for season one) was released last week.

After the first series, the show followed up with the 12-episode Tokyo Ghoul √A anime series in 2015 and the 24-episode Tokyo Ghoul:re in 2018. All three seasons, along with the OVAs Tokyo Ghoul [Jack] and Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto, are available to stream in Crunchyroll.

Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul manga series was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from September 8, 2011 to September 18, 2014 and released 14 tankobon volumes. It was followed by the sequel series Tokyo Ghoul:re, which ran in the same magazine from October 16, 2014 to July 5, 2018 and released 16 tankobon volumes. VIZ Media released both manga in English.

Crunchyroll describes the synopsis of the “Sink Your Teeth: A Tokyo Ghoul Celebration” compilation film as:

Six select episodes from Season One. Ken Kaneki is a loner. In a world where ghouls — human-like creatures who survive on human flesh — and people are at war, his biggest concern is which novel to pick up next. But when a date with the mysterious Rize turns deadly, a lifesaving operation horrifyingly transforms him into a human-ghoul hybrid. Can he find his place in a society where it’s hunt or be hunted?
