The two newly revealed cast members include Mitsuaki Kanuka as Morio and Tomohiro Ono as Keisuke.

They join a main voice cast that stars Kenta Miyake as Keiji, Mariko Honda as Elizabeth, and Shiori Izawa as Piyoko.

Daisuke Suzuki (D4DJ All Mix, D4DJ Double Mix) is directing the anime series, with Hiroshi Seko (Wind Breaker, Jujutsu Kaisen) as series screenwriter and Joseph Chou and Sola Entertainment as producers. Sanzigen is in charge of the animation production.

VIZ licensed Rooster Fighter’s streaming and TV broadcast rights outside of Japan. It stated that the series will be released on Adult Swim, and that “further streaming platforms will be announced across all territories soon.”

The anime is based on the action comedy manga by Shu Sakuratani, which began serialization on Hero’s Inc’s Comiplex website on December 18, 2020. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of July 2025.

VIZ describes the main premise of Rooster Fighter as:

The neighborhood cock of the walk is more than just an ordinary rooster—he’s humanity’s greatest defender! His opponents may be ten stories tall, but nothing is bigger than his stout heart and his fearsome battle cry—cock-a-doodle-doo!
