Netflix announced during its panel at Anime Expo 2025 that the Beastars Final Season Part 2 anime series will premiere in 2026. A new visual of Legoshi was also released.

Shinichi Matsumi returns to direct the second part of the final season, after working on the first two seasons. Nanami Higuchi also returns as scriptwriter and Orange is in charge of the animation production. 

Beastars Final Season Part 2 will also include new cast members that include: 

  • • Shinichiro Miki as Yahya
  • • Shigeru Chiba as Gosha
  • • Teshio Genda as Sagwan
  • • Fumiko Orikasa as Seven
  • • Koji Okino as Melon

The anime is based on the manga series by Paru Itagaki, which ran in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from September 8, 2016 to October 8, 2020. A total of 22 tankobon volumes were released. VIZ Media publishes the manga in English. 

The first season premiered in October 2019 in Japan and had its global release in early 2020. Season 2 was released in 2022, first airing in Japan from January to March 2022 before being streamed globally by Netflix in July. The two-part Final Season was announced in September 2022.
