The anime adaptation of mobile battle royale game Garena Free Fire has received a teaser trailer and teaser visual, as well as the unveiling of some of its staff members.

Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson, Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA Licht Nameless Girl assistant director) is directing the anime at studio CANDY BOX. There’s also an “incidental music” credit for Sus4 Inc.

It was also announced that the character Kelly will be the main protagonist of the Free Fire anime. “In this thrilling prologue, the trailer viewers follow Kelly as she and her allies uncover a hidden conspiracy lurking beneath the surface of a seemingly peaceful universe,” says the press release.

Garena Free Fire was released back in 2017 and has had collaborations with anime like One Punch ManAttack on Titan, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The Free Fire anime will be “broadcast and streamed worldwide.”

KADOKAWA’s overseas branch KADOKAWA QINGYU is involved in the project as the “production manager.”
