A second new teaser trailer, more cast, and staff have been revealed for the upcoming Let’s Play TV anime series, which begins broadcasting in Japan on Fuji TV’s “+Ultra” programming block in October 2025.
The new trailer was revealed during the anime’s world premiere at Anime Expo on July 3, 2025. It also confirmed the addition of three new characters and cast members, which include Shimba Tsuchiya as Marshall Law, Yuichi Nakamura as Charles Jones, and Tomokazu Sugita as Link Hudson.
They join Kana Hanazawa, who voices the lead heroine, Samantha “Sam” Young.
It was also announced that Saki Ebisawa will be handling the series’ character designs, with Ebimo (High Card, Kawagoe Boys Sing) now being credited with the character design concept, and Conisch (Pokémon Horizons: The Series) as music composer.
Daiki Tomiyasu (Pokémon Sun & Moon) is directing the anime series, with Aya Matsui (Marmalade Boy) as series screenwriter and OLM as the animation production company.
The anime is based on the romantic comedy webcomic series by Leeanne M. Krecic (also known as Mongie), which was published digitally on WEBTOON between 2016 to 2022. The webcomic concluded with its “third season” in September 2022, but is slated to return in Fall 2025 on an unspecified platform.
The anime was first announced to be in production at OLM during New York Comic Con in October 2023. A live-action TV adaptation was also announced to be in development in May 2021.

Crunchyroll will stream Let’s Play worldwide, excluding Asia and parts of India and Southeast Asia. It describes the main synopsis as:
Samara “Sam” Young is a developer in Los Angeles who’s about to achieve her dreams with her first video game, Ruminate. That is, until a popular streamer gives the game a scathing review. Even worse, Sam finds out the troublesome critic is now her new neighbor! Get lost in a comedic, romantic, and all-too-real story about gaming, memes, and social anxiety. Come for the plot, stay for the doggo.
