Los Angeles Comic Con has announced a new partnership with Otaku Collectives to launch Akiba Station — an immersive, 40,000-square-foot anime and Japanese pop culture destination set to premiere at this year’s event. The convention takes place from September 26–28, 2025, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Akiba Station is designed to transport fans “straight into the heart of Tokyo’s famed Akihabara district” and serve as a hub featuring themed exhibitor zones and activations, anime voice actor appearances, panels, cosplay meetups, and pop-up food experiences.

Upon entering Akiba Station, guests will emerge through iconic Torri gates and a cherry-blossomed walkway, where they will discover the Akiba Food Market, which is inspired by the vibrant streets of Akihabara and Japan’s otaku districts, and will feature authentic Japanese street vendors and anime-themed cafés.

The area will also include interactive activations and gaming zones, as well as anime-inspired photo sets and a curated lineup of Japanese artists, talent, and exhibitors.

In addition, the convention will also welcome top Japanese voiceover talent for the first time, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets for L.A. Comic Con 2025 are now on sale on the event’s official website. Additional programming and talent announcements rolling out throughout the summer.
