Voice actress Miku Ito has been announced to be joining the cast of the upcoming Gachiakuta TV anime series. The show is scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 6, 2025.
Ito will be voicing Chiwa, who is a friend of the protagonist, Rudo. She joins a voice cast that includes:

- • Katsuyuki Konishi as Enjin
- • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Zanka
- • Yumiri Hanamori as Riyo
- • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Regto
- • Yuuki Shin as Jabber
Fumihiko Suganuma (Train to the End of the World chief episode director, T.P Bon Episode 6 storyboard artist and director) is directing the anime series, with Hiroshi Seko (Wind Breaker, Jujutsu Kaisen) as series screenwriter, Satoshi Ishino (Godzilla Singular Point) as character designer and chief animation director, Yoshino Matsumoto as sub character designer and chief animation director. BONES FILM (credited under Studio Bones at the time of announcement) is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on the dark fantasy action manga by Kei Urana (with graffiti art by Hideyoshi Ando), which began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on February 16, 2022 and has released 15 tankobon volumes as of June 2025. The manga was also a Shonen Category finalist in the 47th and 48th Kodansha Manga Award. Kodansha USA publishes the series in English.
Crunchyroll will stream Gachiakuta worldwide, outside of Japan, and is also partnering with Kodansha, Avex, and Bones for the “Gachiakuta World Takeover” campaign, which is running a series of global screening events in 15 locations globally.
