VShojo is dealing with yet another talent departure, this time concerting one of its long-time talents Zentreya. The popular VShojo talent is set to depart the agency on July 11 in favour of becoming an independent VTuber.
As one of the original talents the agency announced in November 2020, VShojo has recognised the impact Zentreya had in the history of the agency, as well as her continued collaboration with other VTuber creators in the space.
Zen has truly shaped VShojo, being one of our original members since 2020. From communicating with a notepad on stream to Zen’s current TTS setup, it’s amazing to see how far things have come. Among her many talents has been bringing together VShojo and non-VShojo members alike for collaborations, helping to drive inclusivity among creators.
Given how Zen’s contributions to VShojo and the community as a whole have made a lasting impact, we’re sincerely thankful for our time working together.
With her departure from the agency, Zentreya will be leaving with her IP fully secured as part of her indie transition. Merch related to her will be up until her last day with the agency.
Meanwhile, Zentreya herself posted a separate statement regarding this move, sharing that she is thankful for her time at VShojo, and that nothing will change moving forward. She also asked fans to continue supporting her in new indie venture.
Nothing will change other then where I am currently at. Thank you to VShojo for many years and the memories. Sadly, times change and paths change and I decided I want to follow my own path and do new things in life. I hope you all will continue to follow me on this adventure. I know change is scary. It’s a scary thing to see something you saw grow change. But that is how life goes, we all take this walk eventually. So let’s go on this adventure together.
In another post, she quipped that this move is a “small change” and that while it’s scary, everything will be fine moving forward.
Zentreya is the third VTuber talent to depart the agency, following Matara Kan in April and most recently GEEGA this June.
