The anime adaptation is based on the manga series by Shinichiro Nariie, which originally began as a Twitter web comic, before receiving serialization on Kadokawa Shoten’s Comic Newtype website on March 10, 2020. Two tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2025. The second volume is titled See You Tomorrow At The Food Court Season 2.

Crunchyroll will stream the See You Tomorrow at the Food Court anime series worldwide, outside of Japan, at a to-be-determined date. It describes the main synopsis as:
Meet Wada, who gives off an unapproachable vibe, and Yamamoto, who strikes fear into those around her because of her looks. Though the two girls attend separate high schools, they meet up at a shopping center’s food court almost every day. Take a little peek at the laid-back afternoons Wada and Yamamoto share as they reflect on the ups and downs of high school life together.
