The Kissa LycoReco (@LYCO_RECO) X/Twitter account has dropped a new Lycoris Recoil illustration that sees Chisato and Takina sharing a small umbrella. The scene indicates that the two are heading back home after shopping together.
Lycoris Recoil, which aired during the Summer 2022 anime season, is an original girls-with-guns action anime where the secret organization DA (Direct Attack) utilizes teenage female agents called Lycoris to maintain peace in Japan by preemptively stopping crimes with lethal methods. Chisato, the strongest Lycoris, and Takina, a serious-minded Lycoris, work at a DA branch called LycoReco that doubles as a legitimate cafe and provider of various services.
A new Lycoris Recoil anime project was announced in February 2023. The original anime has also inspired the recent Lycoris Recoil -Friends are thieves of time.- short anime series that premiered in April 2025, an NFT project, and other material such as a manga adaptation, spin-off manga, spin-off light novels, and a stage play.
