Small press publisher Glacier Bay Books announced last week that it licensed Yumi Tada’s True Blue Never Fades romance drama manga series for a global English release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2025. Matthias Hirsh will be translating the manga into English.

The classic manga series was originally published in Shodensha’s Feel Young magazine in March 1995, under its Feel Comics imprint. A single tankobon volume was released in Japan.

The independent publisher will reveal more details about the title this coming summer of fall. It will be the first title released in a forthcoming series of standalone series, which are drawn from Tada’s “‘Americana’ flavored works.”

Tada’s The Mermaid and the Prince manga was previously released in full color by the publisher in 2021, in both digital and physical editions.

Glacier Bay Books describes the main synopsis of True Blue Never Fades as:

Bonny and Mickey are young and in love, but Mickey is married to the life of a long-haul trucker. Though they have a son together, the gulf between the two grows with each broken promise and passing year, until all that’s left are small mementos, postcards, and memories.
