Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2 has revealed a new key visual and short trailer for the second half of the season.
The trailer features a new opening theme song titled “Kagome Kagome” sung by Masayoshi Oishi.
The series also announced a new ending theme song titled “mo∞ent.” It is sung by Akira Kito, who voices Nene in the series. A new cast member and character was also revealed — Jun Fukuyama will be voicing Shinigami-san, who represents the sixth of the seven wonders.
The second half of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2 will premiere in Japan on July 6 JST.
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun is a manga series written by Iro and illustrated by Aida. It first began serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy in 2014, and as of June 2025, 23 volumes have been released. The 24th volume of the manga will be released in Japan on June 26, 2025 JST.
The series has inspired anime adaptations and 2.5D musicals. The first season of the anime aired in 2020, while a short anime adaptation spin-off, After-school Hanako-kun, aired in 2023. Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2 first premiered in 2024.
Crunchyroll is streaming the first season and the first half of the second season. Yen Press has licensed and is publishing the manga in English and describes the series as:
“Hanako-san, Hanako-san…are you there?” At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school’s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third-floor girls’ bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom…but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined!
