The newest character trailer has been released for the upcoming Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter TV anime series, which introduces and highlights Tina Howard’s older sister, Stella. The anime will begin airing in Japan on July 5, 2025.
Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Love Flops, Ayaka, Vampire Dormitory) is directing the anime series, with Kazuya Ishiguri (Vampire Dormitory) as assistant director, Megumi Shimizu (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!) as series screenwriter, Akiko Yokota (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) as character designer, and Sayaka Takemoto (Beyblade X sub-character designer) as sub-character designer. Studio Blanc is in charge of the animation production.

The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series, written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by cura. It was first published under Kadokawa’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint on December 20, 2018 and has released 19 volumes as of April 2025. A 20th volume will be released in Japan on July 18, 2025.
The series started as a web novel on Kakuyomu on October 6, 2017. It also inspired a 2018 manga adaptation by Tamura Muto that has released four tankobon volumes as of February 2024. J-Novel Club licensed the light novel and manga for release in English digitally.

Crunchyroll will stream Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter worldwide, outside of Japan, and describes the main synopsis as:
After Allen failed the court sorcerer exam, he couldn’t return home even if he wanted to. While searching for a job, an unexpected offer comes his way to be the private tutor of the duke’s daughter. Just as he lowers his guard, he faces a girl who can’t use magic at all! But what is preventing her magic from working? Allen’s unconventional lessons gently shine a light on the girl’s future.
