A new trailer has been revealed for the upcoming With You and the Rain TV anime series, which previews the show’s main opening theme song. The series is expected to be broadcast in Japan on July 5, 2025 as part of the “NUMAnimation” programming block.
The main opening theme highlighted in the trailer is “Ame to” by singer-songwriter Mamiko Suzuki. Meanwhile, it was also announced that the show’s main ending theme is “filled” by singer Kei Sugawara.
Tomohiro Tsukimisato (Bikkuri-men, Ueno-san wa Bukiyou) is directing the anime series, with Toko Machida (7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy) as series screenwriter, and Ayano Owada (Bikkuri-men, Ueno-san wa Bukiyou) as character designer. Lesprit is in charge of the animation production.

The anime is based on the slice of life comedy manga series by Ko Nikaido, which has been serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine since August 17, 2020 and has released seven tankobon volumes as of September 2024. Kodansha USA releases the manga in English digitally.

Crunchyroll will stream the With You and the Rain anime series, and describes the main synopsis as:
On a rainy day, Fuji meets a cute critter posing as a dog and offering an umbrella and a cue card that says, “Please take me home,” and she can’t resist. With this dog-poster’s quirky charm and mysterious ways, life together becomes a heartwarming adventure of friendship and shared seasons.
