The Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE visual novel will be released on Steam on June 27 at 4 PM JST. Its Steam page is already up, and wishlisting is available.
There will also be a Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE bundle that discounts the price of the regular Summer Pockets for owners of that previous release.
As previously revealed, the Steam release will support Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese.
PROTOTYPE, whose LUCA System engine is being used for the visual novel, says that aside from Steam Deck and controller compatibility, Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE will also support tablet PCs and the Steam Deck’s touchscreen.
Key‘s Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE is an upgraded version of the 2018 visual novel Summer Pockets that was previously released in 2020 for PC and Android, in 2021 for iOS and Switch, and in 2022 for PS4. The new features include new heroine Shiki Kamiyama, a Kato Umi route, and the elevation of supporting characters Miki Nomura and Shizuku Mizuori to main heroines.
Other mentioned additions or tweaks include:
・ “Everyday scenarios with the friends having fun together”
・ A doubles option for the table tennis mini game
・ A new theme song and opening video
Here’s the story premise, as described on Steam:
To help manage his recently deceased grandmother’s effects, the protagonist Takahara Hairi travels to Torishirojima during his summer vacation.
Hairi finds himself starting to adjust to life on this island, surrounded by nature far lusher than anything he has ever come across back in the city.
Time seems to flow by casually on this island, and as it does, memories of something nostalgic keep coming back to him…
During his time here, he chances upon four girls.
A girl who gazes out at the sea.
A girl in search of a mysterious butterfly.
A girl looking for a pirate ship to retrace her past.
A girl who lives inside a quiet lighthouse.
He makes many new friends on the island.
“If only this summer vacation would never come to an end,” he thought.
A Summer Pockets TV anime started airing on April 7 JST this year and will run for two consecutive cours.
Update: Added details about the bundle.
