A short anime project titled “Light-novel Anime” has been announced. The project features 5-minute short anime episodes based on four original light novel series. Episodes of Shoshin Time Leap and Femme Fatale Ikusei Keikaku have been released on their official YouTube channel as YouTube Shorts, with more to come in the next 10 days.
The four original light novel series and their cast and staff are as follows:
Shoshin Time Leap (Heartbroken Time Leap)

Shoshin Time Leap is a light novel series written by Nigojuu, who is also known for The Detective is Already Dead. It follows a girl named Miri Wakana who confessed her feelings to her classmate, Takashi Wase, on her last Christmas in high school, only to be rejected. In her despair, Miri clings to her diary from the past when it suddenly lights up and transports her six months into the past.

Femme Fatale Ikusei Keikaku is a light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga, who is also known for The Apothecary Diaries. It follows the story of Yuki Atagawa, who decides to go on a diet to get back at his cousin, Tsukino’s, ex-boyfriend. Hiroki says, “I’ll become a beautiful woman and make him fall in love with me, and then I’ll dump him!” With the help of his friends and helpers, his life is full of laughter, sweat, and tears as he transforms into a Femme Fatale and avenges his cousin.

Jack The Reaper is a light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki, who is known for Re:Zero —Starting Life In Another World—. It follows a young man who finds himself in front of a young female detective in an interrogation room with no memories of who he is or why he is there. She eventually gets angry and storms out of the interrogation room, but the young man is stabbed to death by a mysterious person. The next moment, he’s back in the interrogation room once more.

Marie Antoinette ni Tensei Shita node, Zenryoku de Guillotine wo Kaihi Shimasu is a light novel series written by Shoko Amano, who is known for Yorozu Uranaidokoro: Onmyouya Series. It follows the story of a modern-day otaku girl who finds herself reincarnated as Marie Antoinette, the Queen of France. To avoid her fate of being executed by the guillotine, she uses her knowledge and passion as an otaku from her previous life to win the hearts of the people by getting her husband Louis XVI and his brothers involved to launch the first idol group.
Furthermore, the project has planned to release the shorts nationally on ABC TB and TV Asahi. They are set to air in Japan on July 12th. Episodes will also be released on platforms such as BUMP and Tatedara in the future.
