Arata Hirasaka‘s indie yuri mecha anime Volicia of Pluto Chapter Two: Gunjou has recently been released on their YouTube channel with the option of English subtitles. It will remain available for viewing until June 19 JST.
The new Volicia of Pluto installment clocks in at 42 minutes and 20 seconds, making it around 10 minutes longer than its 2023 predecessor, Volicia of Pluto Chapter One: Gouka.
Volicia of Pluto Chapter Two: Gunjou had its first screening at Nagoya’s Osu Cinema on April 21 JST, where it was shown together with Chapter One. The anime follows high school students Akio Hoshigami and Ayano Umisoe and their involvement in a conflict where mankind’s survival is on the line.
The third and final Volicia of Pluto installment is being crowdfunded on CAMPFIRE with four days to go at the time of writing. It has raised 3,140,359 yen (~US21,792.51) thus far out of its one million yen goal. The campaign’s three million yen stretch goal will restructure the three parts into one single film which will be screened.
