A new visual and trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Japanese language broadcast of The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming donghua series. The series will begin airing in Japan on Fuji TV’s B8station programming slot on July 2, 2025.

The Japanese voice cast showcased in the new trailer include:
- • Toshiki Matsuda as Fan Lingxiao / Liu Fengmang
- • Manaka Iwakami as Gu Ling
- • Rina Hidaka as Bai Liansu
- • Takehito Koyasu as Bai Tanshu
Rock band CROWN HEAD is performing the donghua’s opening theme “Hozuki” for the Japanese language release.
The Chinese animated series’ Japanese title is Tensei Soushu no Hadoutan ~Subete o Nomikomu Sakana to Haiagaru~. It started streaming on bilibili on May 1, 2025 and is produced by Big Firebird Cultural, based on a Chinese manhua series by Mo.

Bilibili describes the main premise of The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming as:
Fan Lingxiao is a gifted spirit pet master in Lingxiao Sect, but he’s stabbed in the back at a competition between top sects and devoured by his own spirit pet whale Kun. He wakes up to find that he’s become Liu Fengmang, a teenager held in the cell of Bai’s Residence. At the same time, Lingxiao Sect is on the verge of collapse. In order to find out the truth of being devoured by his spirit pet and revive his sect, Fan Lingxiao leads his existing spirit pets, together with Gu Ling, Cheng Xi, and Yue Tong, on a new adventure.
Fuji TV’s B8station started in October 2023 and is a collaboration with bilibili. It focuses on airing Japanese dubs of popular donghua from the service such as The Girl Downstairs, Fairies Album, Ringing Fate, and Don’t Give Up!
