Netflix has announced the Japanese language voice cast for the upcoming Leviathan anime series. The series is scheduled to begin streaming worldwide on the service on July 10, 2025.

Leviathan will have its world premiere at Anime Expo 2025 with Qubic Pictures on July 4, 2025 at 7:15 PM PST.
Christophe Ferreira (Eden character designer, Le Monde de Milo comic co-creator) is directing the series, with Joe Hisaishi contributing original songs for the production. Nobuko Toda (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045) and Kazuma Jinnouchi (Suzume, RWBY: Ice Queendom) are serving as music composers. Orange is in charge of the animation production.
Justin Leach and Taiki Sakurai are credited as the executive producers, with Qubic Pictures in charge of producing the overall project.
Scott Westerfeld’s original novel of the same name was published on October 6, 2009, with illustrations by Keith Thompson. It is part of a trilogy of books that includes the sequels Behemoth in 2010 and Goliath in 2011.

Netflix and Orange describes the main synopsis of Leviathan as:
Prince Aleksander, would-be heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, is on the run. Deryn Sharp is a commoner, disguised as a boy in the British Air Service. As World War I begins to erupt, Alek and Deryn’s paths cross in the most unexpected way… taking them on a fantastical, around-the- world adventure that will change both their lives forever.
