Netflix will stream the upcoming The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity TV anime “in 2025.”

The announcement was made the same day that the anime’s July 5 JST (effectively July 6 at 12:30 AM JST) Japanese broadcast premiere was revealed. An English-subtitled main trailer and an English version of the key visual were also released.

Netflix also provided the following description for the anime:

Chidori student Rintaro Tsumugi finds himself feeling comfortable around a girl named Kaoruko who treats his intimidating appearance without prejudice… until he discovers that she comes from Kikyo — a school which loathes his.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity is based on the manga by Saka Mikami, which debuted in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket in 2021 and has 16 tankoubon volumes as of April 2025. It was a finalist in the Shonen category of 47th and 48th Kodansha Manga Award.
