Lewis Carroll’s original 1865 fantasy novel has inspired many adaptations since its first publication, including the 1951 Disney animated film Alice in Wonderland. In Japan, the novel inspired Nippon Animation and Apollo Film’s 1983 TV anime adaptation titled Fushigi no Kuni no Alice.
Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- follows a young girl from Japan who somehow finds herself in Wonderland and meets Alice.
