HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero has received a new animated short titled “For My Yixuan,” which presents the backstory of upcoming playable character Yixuan and her relationship with her elder sister, who is a key figure in Yixuan’s life.
The sister’s relationship is emphasized throughout the eight-minute animation, which ends with Yixuan looking upon sibling protagonists Wise and Belle with a smile as the sight of them evokes memories of the Grandmaster and her sister.
“For My Yixuan” (which is produced by Studio Tumble with Flintsugar, with Studio Mindo credited for animation support) also shows Yixuan’s early life as a street urchin and how she became a part of the Yunkui Summit.
Yixuan will be introduced to Zenless Zone Zero as part of the free-to-play “urban fantasy” action RPG’s 2.0 update “Where Clouds Embrace The Dawn,” which lands on June 26 and adds the Waifei Peninsula. The S-Rank Agent possesses the Auric Ink Attribute and the Rupture Specialty, along with the Adrenaline mechanic and two Ultimates.
Other new playable characters who are accompanying Yixuan with the update are Ju Fufu (S-Rank Fire Stun Agent), Pan Yinhu (A-Rank Physical Defense Agent), and Belion (S-Rank Bangboo). All of them are affiliated with Yunkui Summit.
