It has been announced that the Champignon no Majo TV anime will have its premiere in January 2026. A teaser trailer and visual were also released. 

Additionally, it was announced that Haruka Shiraishi is voicing main protagonist Luna, and that Yosuke Kubo (Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools) is directing the Typhoon Graphics and Qzil.la co-production. Other revealed staff members include Yuko Kakihara (The Apothecary Diaries scenario supervisor) as series composer and Miki Matsumoto (Major 2nd: Season 2) as character designer.

Champignon no Majo is based on the manga from Tachibana Higuchi. The story is about a feared witch called Luna, who is known as the Mushroom Witch (Champignon no Majo) due to the poisonous mushrooms that sprout in her wake. 

The Hakusensha-published manga began serialization in Manga Park in 2019 and has six tankoubon volumes as of December 20, 2024 JST.
