A new extended director’s cut trailer has been released for the Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: TABOO NIGHT XXXX, anime film, highlighting several musical performances of the main characters. The anime film premiered in Japan on May 9, 2025.
The roughly five-minute trailer compiles director Akiko Seki’s (Uta no Prince Sama Maji LOVE Starish Tours ~Tabi no Hajimari~ co-unit director) favorite scenes, and showcases the 11 songs performed by the members of QUARTET NIGHT in the film, as well as two encore songs.
Joji Furuta (Uta no Prince Sama: Magi LOVE Kingdom, Uta no Prince Sama: Magi LOVE Legend Star and Shaman King 2021 director) is serving as chief director of the film, with Chinatsu Kurahana (Uta no Prince Sama anime franchise) as original character designer, Maki Fujioka (Uta no Prince–sama: Maji LOVE Legend Star), Hiroshi Nakajima (Uta no Prince–sama: Maji LOVE Legend Star and Uta no Prince Sama: Magi LOVE Kingdom Starlish Tours) as CG director, and Elements Garden (Uta no Prince Sama anime franchise) as music composer. A-1 Pictures is in charge of the anime film’s animation production.

The premiere of TABOO NIGHT XXXX followed a three-week double screening of Uta no Prince Sama: Magi LOVE Kingdom and Uta no Prince Sama: Magi LOVE Starlish Tours in Japan on March 7, 2025.
Uta no Prince Sama is part of a male idol-themed multimedia franchise created by Broccoli and Aria Entertainment representative Noriyasu Agematsu that began in 2010 with a video game. There have been four TV anime seasons, the Uta no Prince Sama Maji LOVE Starish Tours ~Tabi no Hajimari~ special, as well as the previously mentioned Kingdom and Starlish Tours movies.
