Creepy Nuts‘ “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” the opening song for MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc, has been named Song of the Year at the Music Awards Japan 2025.
Song of the Year is one of the six main categories of the awards, which made its debut this year and is described as “Japan’s largest international music awards event.” Some of the other nominees include YOASOBI‘s “IDOL,” which was the opening song of OSHI NO KO Season 1, and Mrs. GREEN APPLE‘s “Lilac,” the opening song for Oblivion Battery opening.
While “IDOL” missed Song of the Year, it snagged the win for “Top Global Hit from Japan,” one of Music Awards Japan 2025’s other main categories.
Meanwhile, Mrs. GREEN APPLE won Best Artist of the Year.
The other main categories are New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Song Asia.
The announcement of the main winners came on the second day of the event’s ceremony, after the unveiling of the results of many other categories. Among those other categories are Best Japanese Song (won by “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born”) and Best Anime Song (“IDOL”). You can read more about them here.
