2024’s Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is now available on Android and iOS as a Crunchyroll Game Vault title. You’ll need a Crunchyroll Mega or Ultimate Fan Membership to be able to play the game on mobile.
Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town was first launched in Japan and Asia on Nintendo Switch in February 2024, before coming to the West and Steam in October. The game is a sequel to 2021’s Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation and similarly applies the Boku no Natsuyasumi formula of laid-back open world gameplay to the Crayon Shin-chan IP.
The game is described as:
Join the Nohara family on an adventure in the countryside of Akita! When Hiroshi’s job assignment takes them to a quiet village, it seems like the perfect getaway until Shiro runs off covered in soot. Chasing after him, they stumble upon a lively and prosperous coal town. Shin chan starts a mysterious daily routine, traveling between two worlds: the Village in Akita and Coal Town.
