A short new character trailer has been revealed for the ongoing Food for the Soul TV anime series, spotlighting the seemingly outgoing, but socially awkward Nana Hoshi. The anime began broadcasting in Japan on April 12, 2025 and will air for 12 episodes.
Shinya Kawatsura (Non Non Biyori) and Harumi Tohru (The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie assistant director) are directing the original anime series, with Hajime Mitsuda (AKIBA’S TRIP THE ANIMATION character designer) as character designer, Yoshihiro Hiki (Akiba Maid War) as series screenwriter, and Hiromi Mizutani (Non Non Biyori) as music composer. P.A Works is handling the animation production.
Atto (Non Non Biyori manga creator) is credited as original character designer, story draft writer, and manga storyboard producer.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

Atto also launched a manga adaptation on Media Factory’s Comic Alive+ website on March 15, 2025, with illustrations by Quro.

Crunchyroll is streaming Food For the Soul worldwide, outside of Japan. It describes the main synopsis as:
This is an original animation of the daily lives of five new undergrad college girls. They love delicious, want to have lots of fun together, study hard, and enjoy their college life to the fullest! This is a heartwarming comedy in which the characters eat, laugh, and deepen their friendships.
