Azuki and Dentsu announced today that animator and director Tatsuyuki Tanaka will be joining the three-part anime anthology series Enter The Garden. A teaser visual of the upcoming third episode was also released, which will premiere sometime “this winter.”
Tanaka will join the production as the director, character designer, and scriptwriter for the third episode, with Goro Taniguchi credited as the series creative producer. It will be released exclusively on Azuki’s YouTube Channel and Anime.com.

Azuki describes the third episode’s story as something “that blends Tanaka’s visionary artistry with the rich storytelling universe of Azuki.” The company also teased some cameo appearances from licensed holders in the Azuki community in the episode, which will be announced at a later date.
Tatsuyuki Tanaka was previously the character designer for the 2013 Short Peace anthology film A Farewell to Weapons. He also directed the short anime Kin Jin Kitto (from the Digital Juice series of shorts) and Tojin Kit (from the Genius Party anthology series), of which he also worked on the storyboard, character design, art director, and animation direction. He was also the illustrator and original character designer for the sci-fi light novel Yokohama Station SF and its sequel Yokohama Station SF National.
The Enter The Garden anime anthology series is produced by Azuki, Dentsu, Qzil.la and IMAGICA Infos. The series will have three total episodes and has previously released the first episode “The Waiting Man” and the second episode “Fractured Reflections.”

Azuki describes itself as a “Web3 anime brand that tells stories at the intersection of art, technology and culture.” It was created by Los Angeles-based Chiru Labs. Azuki claims that Enter The Garden offers a “personalized experience” through factors like “licensing community-owned characters” for the anime and product placement of businesses owned by Azuki community members.
