The Cells at Work! live-action movie is coming to Netflix on June 13.
The movie was first released in Japanese theaters on December 13, 2024 JST.
The premise is described as:
Meet the smallest heroes ever to grace the silver screen… the cells within us! The human body is home to an astonishing 37 trillion cells. Red blood cells tirelessly transport oxygen, white blood cells valiantly defend against bacteria, and countless other cells work around the clock to keep you healthy and alive. In December 2024, witness the most epic battle ever fought within the human body!
The movie is based on the Kodansha-published Cells at Work manga by Akane Shimizu, which ran from 2015 to 2021 in Monthly Shonen Sirius and is collected into six tankoubon volumes. The manga has inspired two anime seasons, a variety of spin-off manga, light novels, a stage play, and more. The Cells at Work! Code Black spin-off has its own anime.
