A new visual for the Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback movie has been released. This one is a collaboration with the upcoming Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, and depicts a greyish and dirtied Kogoro Mouri in the manner of one of The Final Reckoning‘s posters.

The official post includes the original poster so you can directly compare Mouri with Tom Cruise:

In other Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback news, the 28th Detective Conan movie once again placed first in the Japanese box office’s weekend rankings and has made over 11.3 billion yen (~US$76.4 million) at the Japanese box office, making it the 36th highest-grossing movie in the country. It’s still below Detective Conan: The Black Submarine (19th highest-grossing with 13.88 billion yen) and Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram (the 14th highest-grossing movie in Japan with 15.8 million yen).

Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback premiered in Japan on April 18 JST and achieved the franchise’s best opening weekend with 3.43 billion yen. Its premise involves the Mouri Detective Agency receiving a call from “Wani,” a former colleague of Kogoro’s, who brings up the presence of Kogoro’s name in a case file related to an avalanche that Kansuke was caught in.

Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning is the upcoming eighth instalment in the Mission: Impossible film series. The synopsis reads:

Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands…
