Two new cast members are joining the voice cast of Yusha Party o Tsuiho Sareta Shiro Madoshi, S-Rank Bokensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiro Madoshi ga Kikakugai Sugiru. The TV anime series is expected to begin broadcasting in July 2025.
Voice actor Toshiki Masuda has been cast in the series as Will, while Nichika Omori will voice Ryoen.
The new cast members join a main voice cast that includes:
- • Gakuto Kajiwara as Lloyd
- • Rina Hidaka as Yui
- • Haruka Shiraishi as Silica
- • Daisuke Hirose as Cross
- • Yuichiro Umehara as Dacgus
Hiroshi Tamada (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement) is directing the anime series, Akihiko Inari (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement) as series screenwriter, and Yuta Ito (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement co-sub-character designer) as character designer. Felix Film is in charge of the animation production for the series.
Other additional staff members include Hozumi Goda (I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons) as sound director, with Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Dr. Stone: New World) and Tsubasa Handa as music composers.
Yusha Party o Tsuiho Sareta Shiro Madoshi began as a web novel written by Sora Suigetsu on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in March 2020. Futabasha then published the light novels with new illustrations by DeeCHA on November 30, 2020. Seven volumes have been released as of November 2024, with the two most recent volumes being released exclusively as digital ebooks.
A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno was launched on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website on January 22, 2021. Eight tankobon volumes have been released as of November 2024, with a ninth volume set for release in Japan on May 30, 2025.
Crunchyroll News describes the main synopsis of the anime adaptation as:
“We don’t need a white magician who isn’t good enough.” One day, Lloyd, a white magician, is expelled from a hero party. Lloyd has lost his job, but he happens to accompany the S-rank party on their quest. At this time, no one knew that the hero party would collapse and Lloyd would gain fame – yet. This is the story of a substandard user of support magic who thinks he is normal, becomes an adventurer, and unknowingly has an unparalleled ability.
