The opening animation of the upcoming Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra game, which launches on iOS and Android on March 27 JST, has been officially released online.

The Shaft-produced animation (with “product cooperation” from LDH animation and “animation cooperation” from PINE JAM) features a multitude of magical girls and the FictionJunction feat. LINO LEIA theme song “lighthouse.” The song is composed, written, and arranged by Yuki Kajiura.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra is the new Puella Magi Madoka Magica RPG, following 2017’s Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story (which became defunct in July 2024). Its premise is described as:

A place where the memories of Magical Girls illuminate the dark…

The Lighthouse.

Now a girl who’s lost everything wanders into its sanctum.

Who am I…?

How did I get here…?

She will relive key moments of countless of Magical Girls by opening windows into their memories…

Trusting she’ll one day find her own lost light of remembrance.

The game passed 900,000 pre-registrations in mid-March. It will be available on Steam as well.

Pokelabo, Inc. and f4samurai, Inc. are credited for the game’s development, while Pokelabo, Inc. will handle the management.
