The One Piece franchise continues its collaboration with high profile sports teams by announcing its latest partnership with German football club Borussia Dortmund (BVB). The collaboration will be titled “BVB x ONE PIECE DAY 2025” and will be hosted on March 30, 2025 in a game against FSV Mainz 05.
The special One Piece-themed football game with Borussia Dortmund will feature a full Instagram takeover and a special walking act with The Straw Hat Gang’s resident doctor TonyTony Chopper and BVB mascot EMMA. Exclusive goodie bags will also be handed out, which contains a scarf, original stickers, and an exclusive promo card. There will also be trial sessions of the popular One Piece card game by Bandai Card Games throughout the stadium.
Additionally, special match day posters and trading cards featuring several One Piece characters, wearing BVB kits, will be given out via special raffles on BVB’s Instagram.
The One Piece franchise has previously hosted special theme nights with several sports teams, including the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, and the MLB’s Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners.
