A new key visual, trailer, and opening theme song have been unveiled for the ongoing Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime. The second season first aired in Japan on April 12, 2024 and will return with an 1-hour special on April 11, 2025. No new episodes will be broadcast on March 28, 2025 and April 4, 2025.

The short 45-second trailer previews the new “Mega Voltage” story arc of Pokémon Horizons and features the new opening “Get Back” by Japanese music duo YUZU. This is the duo’s first anime theme song since 2018.

Pokémon Horizons first aired in Japan on April 14, 2023 and has been streaming on Netflix in the United States. The first season included the story arcs “Liko and Roy’s Departure” and “The Sparkling of Terapagos.” The second season contained the story arcs “The Search for Laqua” and “Rayquaza Rising.”
Saori Den (Pokémon: Kami to Yobareshi Arceus opening storyboarder, Pokémon Journeys: The Series second opening, episode director and storyboarder) is credited as the series director, with Daiki Tomiyasu (Pokémon Journeys: The Series chief director) as chief director from episode 46 onwards, Dai Sato (Yurei Deco, Space Dandy) as series screenwriter, and Conisch as music composer (Pokémon: Hisuian Snow). OLM is in charge of the animation production.
Other staff include Rei Yamazaki (Pokémon Journeys: The Series co-Pokémon designer) is serving as the character designer, with Kyoko Ito (Pokémon Journeys: The Series animation director) as sub-character designer.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars:

Pokémon Horizons: The Series follows a young Pokémon trainer named Liko (from the Paldea region) and Roy (from the Kanto region). Together with their new companions, Friede and Captain Pikachu, they embark on a long journey across the Pokémon world to solve the mysteries of Liko’s pendant and Roy’s Poké Ball.
