A new teaser trailer and six individual episode visuals have been released for the upcoming Lycoris Recoil: Friends are thieves of time. anime short film series during a panel at AnimeJapan 2025. The series of shorts based on the Lycoris Recoil original anime series will begin streaming on Aniplex’s YouTube channel and other platforms on April 16, 2025.
A new short will be released every subsequent Wednesday of the week.
The new episode titles are listed as follows (visuals are organized in chronological order in slideshow):

The daily life-themed Lycoris Recoil shorts project was first announced in July 2024, along with the launch of an NFT project. Another Lycoris Recoil anime project was announced in February 2023, months after the end of the original Summer 2022 anime, which streamed on Crunchyroll worldwide, outside of Asia.

The A-1 Pictures-produced anime ran for 13 episodes from July 2, 2022 to September 24, 2022. It was the directorial and screenwriting debut of Adachi, who was character designer for shows like WORKING!! and Sword Art Online. Asaura (Shousetsu Knights of Sidonia: Kitto Arifureta Koi author) was the story draft writer, and Yumiko Yamamoto (Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld co-character designer) was the sub-character designer.
The anime has inspired other media like a manga adaptation, spin-off manga, spin-off light novels, and a stage play.
