A new trailer, more cast, second episode visual, and opening theme song have been revealed for the upcoming Clevatess: Majuu no Ou to Akago to Shikabane no Yuusha TV anime series. The show is scheduled to premiere in Japan in July 2025.
The newest trailer previews the anime’s main opening theme song “Ruler” by Mayu Maeshima.
Additionally, the second episode visual showcases the king of Haiden forging one of the “Treasures” after his son’s funeral.
Meanwhile, the seven newly revealed additional cast includes:

Some of the additional staff that are working on the series include Takuro Tsukada as animation director, Atsushi Morikawa (RE-MaIN) as art director, Reiko Iwasawa (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) as color designer, Shigeki Asakawa (Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS) as director of photography, Naoki Tsuji (Tiger Mask) as CG director, and Kiyotaka Taguchi as sound director.
Kiyotaka Taguchi (SSSS.DYNAZENON Ep 5 kaiju designer, main director of Ultraman X and Ultraman Orb) is directing the anime adaptation, with Keigo Koyanagi (Brave Bang Bravern) as series screenwriter, Soichiro Sako (Buddy Daddies) as character designer, and Nobuaki Nobusawa (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) as music composer. Lay-duce is handling the animation production.
The original dark fantasy manga series by King of Thorn‘s Yuji Iwahara began serialization on LINE Manga on August 12, 2020, and also began publication on Media Factory’s Comic Alive+ website starting April 24, 2024. Seven digital volumes have been released as of April 2024.
Clevatess follows Alicia — a young woman who has always wanted to be a hero since she was little. After being chosen by the king to be one of 13 heroes for a special quest, they set out to defeat the lord of magical beasts, Clevatess, who becomes weary of their efforts and vows to end humanity once and for all. However, things change when he is entrusted with a newborn baby.
