Digimon Adventure-BEYOND-, a four-minute video that commemorates Digimon Adventure‘s 25th anniversary, has been released on the official Digimon YouTube channel. It first premiered at DIGIMON CON 2025.

Digimon Adventure-BEYOND- features a new arrangement of Ayumi Miyazaki‘s “brave heart” (titled “brave heart -DIGIMON Animation 25th Arrange ver.-“) and the older versions of characters like Taichi Yagami and Ishida Yamato. The depicted events are based on the following premise:

Time has passed since that summer adventure, and there are even more children with partner Digimon now. However, because of their unique nature, many children face the looming shadows of persecution and being targeted for military use. While Taichi and Yamato are working to rescue children, they are attacked by mysterious Digimon.

Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 series director Hiroyuki Kakudou directed the Yumeta Company-produced video. Rie Nishimura (Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning co-chief animation director) did the character designs.

Digimon Adventure previously received a separate 25th anniversary video in August 2024. That one was set to the late Koji Wada’s “Butter-Fly” and depicted the kid versions of the Digimon Adventure cast, as it “traces the trajectory of that summer’s adventures.”

The Digimon franchise began in 1997 with the titular virtual pets. Digimon Adventure, the first Digimon TV anime, premiered in 1999. A new anime series titled Digimon Beatbreak was recently revealed and is set to begin this October.
