A new full main trailer, visual, and 10 additional cast members have been revealed for Ryuya Suzuki’s upcoming Mumei no Jinsei feature anime film. The upcoming independent, self-produced anime film will premiere in Japan on May 16, 2025.

The newly revealed voice cast primarily consists of several live-action actors, TV announcers, comedians, and up-and-coming voice talent. They consist of:
- • Taketo Tanaka as Kin
- • Shohei Uno as Hiroshi
- • Remi Tyon as Hime
- • Ryotaro Nishino as Smile
- • Katsuya Maiguma as Yamato
- • Kanji Tsuda as Shiratori
- • Miho Ōhashi as Sakura
- • Ayumu Nakajima as Kuzu
- • Eri Kamataki as Yōko
- • Tsubaki Nekoze as Kinmama

They join a main cast that is led by Japanese rapper ACE COOL, who is voicing the unnamed main character.
Aside from directing Mumei no Jinsei, Suzuki is credited with working as animation director, background art director, compositing director, color designer, character designer, music, and editor. He is also credited with the original work.
Meanwhile, Kenji Iwaisawa is serving as the film’s producer, after previously serving as scriptwriter, storyboard artist, character designer, animation director, and background art director for his own anime film, On-Gaku: Our Sound.
Mumei no Jinsei had a crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE, raising 1,702,000 yen (US$11,320) out of its 1,500,000 yen goal between December 30, 2022 to March 19, 2023.
According to Suzuki’s profile, it took them a year and a half to make Mumei no Jinsei. They were an aspiring live-action director who studied film at Tohoku University of Art & Design and began learning and making short animation during the coronavirus pandemic. Suzuki’s previous short animations have won awards, including the 9th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival’s Japan Grand Prix for Lawless Love.

Mumei no Jinsei follows the life of a man, who starts out as a lonely and bullied boy aiming to become an idol performer like his father. The unnamed man is called many names throughout his 100 years of life, including insults and stage names. The anime film is told in 10 chapters and highlights several social issues such as the dark side of the entertainment industry, youth deaths, war, and aging drivers.
