A teaser video for the ARK: Lost Colony video game expansion has been released.
After a couple of seconds with a narrating CGI character, it switches to 2D anime footage to depict the Michelle Yeoh-voiced Mei Yin battling a vampire-like creature on a snowy mountain.
ARK: Lost Colony was announced last December as the “the first canonical story expansion” to ARK: Survival Ascended. It was revealed back then that the expansion would have anime story sequences produced by MAPPA. These animated segments were called “cinema-grade” at the time, while the description in the teaser video described them as “cinematic.”
That description reads:

IGN says that ARK: Lost Colony will launch this November for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
ARK: Survival Ascended is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the Ark: Survival Evolved dinosaur survival game. The Studio Wildcard title is available on PS5, Xbox Series/S, and PC via Steam and the Xbox App. Steam lists it as an Early Access title.
