An OLM-produced Scum of the Brave anime adaptation has been revealed with a teaser visual.

Scum of the Brave (Yuusha no kuzu) is based on the light novel by Rocket Syoukai, which was released under the KADOKAWA Books label in December 2016. The story is set in a world where yakuza can become demon kings and the business of killing them as been legalized in the form of heroes. Yashiro, a no-good hero, becomes a tutor to some high school girls who are aspiring to become heroes.

In addition to the anime’s announcement, it was revealed that there will be a new version of the light novel with revisions and illustrations from toi8. The initial 2016 light novel, which was published under the KADOKAWA BOOKS label, was illustrated by Yuya Kusaka.

Scum of the Brave was originally a Kakuyomu web novel. The light novel has inspired a manga adaptation by Nakashima 723.
