A teaser visual for the Twisted-Wonderland anime has been released.
The Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime, an adaptation of the f4samurai-developed mobile game, was announced in 2021. An update last November revealed that it will have three seasons and will premiere on Disney+ in October 2025.
In January 2025, it was revealed that Season 1 was titled Episode of Heartslabyul.
The original game was first released in 2020 in Japan before a North American release in 2022. Google Play describes it as having “rhythm games and RPG-style battles.” Black Butler‘s Yana Toboso is credited for the game’s original story and character designs.
The official narrative premise of the Disney Twisted-Wonderland game reads:
Perhaps there’s more to “villains” than meets the eye…
Summoned by a magic mirror to Twisted Wonderland, a world altogether unlike your own, you arrive at Night Raven College, a prestigious arcane academy.
With nowhere else to go, you accept the masked headmage’s hospitality and begin searching for a way home.
You quickly find that the students of this school are as talented as they are dysfunctional—bickering and competition are the perpetual order of the day.
Will you be able to work with them and eventually return from whence you came?
And what secrets lie within the villainous hearts of these students?
