One Piece Day Arrives in Dallas with Card Game Championship, Main Stage Show & Exhibition in March 2025 featured image

One Piece Day Dallas –Card Game Celebration– is coming to Texas this year on March 8 and 9, with the event set to feature the One Piece Card Game Championship 25-26 regional qualifier tournament, live main stage programming, drone show, exhibitions, and many more festivities. 

The two-day event is being hosted in collaboration with Bandai and the Weekly Shonen Jump editorial department and marks the first-ever overseas celebration of the long-running franchise. It will feature an exhibition of manga art, officially licensed merchandise, figure displays, and an extensive One Piece Card Game illustration showcase. Live music performances, special guests, stage events, and more will also be showcased.  

Here are more details on what One Piece fans can expect:  


Two-Day Main Stage Programming with Special Guests

The live main stage programming for One Piece Day Dallas will be located inside Dallas’ Centennial Hall at Fair Park. The programming line-up will include anime screenings, panels, surprise guests, and live musical performances.

In addition, a special anime announcement will be made on the event’s first day. Japanese music artists Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki will also take the stage for live performances of some popular songs from One Piece, including both the opening and ending themes from the TV anime series. 

Both days of main stage programming will be broadcast live on the official series English language YouTube channel. The live stream will include the introduction of the latest merchandise from the franchise, as well as the world’s first regional qualifier for the One Piece Card Game Championship 25-26.

The main stage schedule (which is subject to change) is as follows: 

DAY ONE – Saturday, March 8

  • • One Piece anime screening: One Piece Film Red movie tie-in episodes #1029 and #1030  
  • • Talk session with voice actors and the series’ producer
  • • Surprise program with a special Japanese guest, etc.
  • • Live musical performance

ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26: Regional Qualifiers 

One Piece Day Dallas is also hosting the world’s first regional qualifier for the One Piece Card Game Championship 25-26 tournament. The competition takes place in the Automobile Building at Fair Park and will include over 3000 participants across two days. 

Fans not participating in the competition will also be able to take part in hands-on opportunities involving the popular card game. 

A Dazzling One Piece Drone Show on Opening Night

During the event’s opening night on March 8, fans will be treated to a special drone show that will illuminate the night sky to commemorate the One Piece Card Game Championship. The show will feature unique drone choreography visualizing the world of One Piece

The drone show is expected to take place at Esplanade Fountain at Fair Park at 7:30 PM and will last for around 10 minutes. The show will be weather-dependent and may be postponed until March 9 or canceled at any time in the event of unfavorable weather conditions.

A special exhibition showcasing the One Piece franchise will also be held, which includes features from the manga, anime, licensed merchandise, and a large-scale One Piece Card Game showcase will be presented at the One Piece Day Card Game Celebration.

This special exhibit highlights illustrations from the Egghead arc, including reproduced artwork focusing on the original Japanese manga. There will also be a reading area where visitors can freely enjoy the One Piece manga, from the first volume of the English edition through to the latest 108th volume, which is set to be released in the U.S. later in March. 

Tickets for One Piece Day Are Now Available! 

Free tickets to the event are now available and offered on a first come, first served basis. An entry pass for admission on both days can be secured via the BANDAI TCG+ mobile app. Visitors will first need to create a Bandai Namco ID here before making a TCG+ account. Pre-registration for the tournament and more details on securing tickets can be found here.  

Applications for general entry tickets begin on February 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM CST and will end on March 5 at 9:00 AM CST. Each general entry pass allows you to bring up to two companions, and includes a special giveaway package of exclusive goods like a One Piece Day swag bag, flyers, One Piece Card deck, One Piece Card catalog, Chopper hat, and more.
