The top 10 ranking titles of the Tsugi ni Kuru Light Novel Taisho 2024 award have been announced, with the reveal occurring on February 23 JST.
The first-ranking light novel in the bunko category is Kyoukai no Melody, the debut work of Japanese talent Toshiya Miyata (who voices Akina Myodo in Cardfight Vanguard DivineZ). The Media Works Bunko title, which is illustrated by LAM, explores the events that occur when a grieving former pianist suddenly crosses paths with the ghost of his late bandmate.
Meanwhile, the first-placed light novel in the tankoubon category is Watashi no Kokoro wa Ojisan, an isekai reincarnation tale where a solitary 43-year-old salaryman becomes a beautiful dark elf. The PASH! Books title is written by Yuhi Shimano and illustrated by NAJI yanagida.

Tsugi ni Kuru Light Novel Taisho is a user-voted award that recognizes users’ “favorite new light novel each year.” It is held by the KADOKAWA-operated light novel recommendation site Kimirano, which popped up in 2019, and started with Tsugi ni Kuru Light Novel Taisho 2021.
In January, it was announced that Kimirano will cease as a standalone service, and that some of its contents would be transferred to the new entertainment web magazine Mekuri Mekuru in spring 2025. It was also said that Tsugi ni Kuru Light Novel Taisho will continue.
