Four new cast members have been announced to be joining the upcoming second season of Go! Go! Loser Ranger!, which is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on April 13, 2025.
The new cast members joining season two include
- • Koji Yusa as Hwalipon
- • Hiroshi Kamiya as Yakushi Usukubo
- • Yuki Kaji as Kyosuke Wakaba
- • Masakazu Morita as Masashi Nishiki
They join the anime’s main voice cast that features:
- • Yusuke Kobayashi as Fighter D/Footsoldier D
- • Daishi Kajita as Hibiki Sakurama
- • Yumika Yano as Yumeko Suzukiri
- • Yuichi Nakamura as Red Keeper
- • Go Inoue as Blue Keeper
- • Kensho Ono as Yellow Keeper
- • M.A.O as Pink Keeper
- • Kosuke Toriumi as Green Keeper
- • Hiroshi Shirokuma as Mine Gato
- • Satoru Ito as Shigenobu Murakami
Additionally, new character visuals have been unveiled for some of season two’s latest additional characters that include Chidori/Green Keeper, Boss Monster Magatia, Mine Gato, and Shigenobu Murakami.
Some returning staff members working on the second season of Go, Go, Loser Ranger! include Keiichi Sato (Inuyashiki and GANTZ:O chief director, Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul) as director, Keiichiro Ochi (The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses, The Quintessential Quintuplets) as series screenwriter, Kahoko Koseki as character designer, and Yoshihiro Ike (B: The Beginning) as music composer. Yostar Pictures is handling the animation production.
The first season of Go, Go, Loser Ranger! premiered on April 7, 2024 and ended on June 30, 2024 for 12 episodes. Disney+ will once again stream the second season outside of Japan like it did with the first season. The anime was also streamed on Disney’s Hulu service in the U.S.
The series is based on the superhero action manga by The Quintessential Quintuplets’ Negi Haruba, which was first launched in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on February 3, 2021. Seventeen tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2025.
Kodansha USA releases the manga series in English and describes the main synopsis as:
When the Monster Army invaded Earth thirteen years ago, the Divine Dragon Rangers rose up to stop them! With the war raging on, these great heroes are mankind’s last hope! …or are they?
In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year, forced to continue to crank out a monster a week for the Rangers to crush in front of their adoring fans! But one monster has had enough.
Something has to change! He’ll rebel against the might of the Dragon Rangers and destroy them all…from the inside!
