A second season of the ongoing Kagaku × Boken Survival! TV anime series has been announced, which will begin broadcasting in Japan this coming October 2025. The first season began airing in Japan on the NHK Education channel on October 5, 2024 for an expected 21 total episodes.
The first three episodes of Kagaku × Boken Survival! season one is also now streaming in the U.S. and Canada on the Jme TV subscription service. The series has been released under the English title Surviving Science! Three more episodes will be released on February 18, 2025.
Masahiro Hosoda (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods) is directing the first season, with Isao Murayama (Toriko, Bakugan) as series screenwriter, Gil-bo Noh (Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal) as character designer, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) as music composer. Gallop is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

An anime film adaptation of the series’ Jintai no Survival volumes was released in 2020. Another anime film, Shinkai no Survival followed in 2021. Both were produced by Toei Animation with Gallop.
The anime is based on the long-running full-color Korean manhwa series, released in Japan as Kagaku Manga Survival. The series follows a group of children in various survival situations while learning about real-life scientific connections. The manhwa has been published since 2008 by I‐seum and is created by Hyun Dong Han and Jung Wook Kim. MiraeN releases the series as a webtoon, while Asahi Shimbun Publications releases the series in Japan. No Starch Press releases some volumes of the manhwa in English.
