The Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy light novel series, which inspired a 2021 TV anime, concluded on February 7 JST with the release of its 13th volume.

As part of the commemoration efforts, banner advertisements for the Dengeki Bunko series went up at Seibu Railway Ikebukuro on February 10 JST and will remain until February 16 JST.

The Osamake series by Shuichi Nimaru began in 2019. Shigure Ui was the illustrator for the books, while Ryo Ito drew the manga adaptation. The TV anime, which was streamed by Crunchyroll and the Muse Asia YouTube channel with the title Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose, aired during the Spring 2021 anime season. Takashi Naoya (Val x Love director) was the director and character designer for the Doga Kobo production, while Yoriko Tomita (My Dress-Up Darling) was series composer.

Crunchyroll describes the anime as:

She smiles just for me. Her name is Kachi Shirokusa and she’s even an award-winning high school girl writer! And she’s beautiful! I know that she’s totally out of reach for me, a normal high school kid named Maru Sueharu! But I think something’s there… No, there’s definitely something there! Or so I thought… but Kachi has a boyfriend?! Seeing me depressed, my friend ever since we were little who’s cute, cheerful, and loves to look after others, Shida Kuroha… who also apparently had no problem telling me that she likes me for some reason just suggested, “Let’s get revenge.”
