The Anime Business
The company also debuted a new trailer for a documentary series of interviews called The Anime Business. MediaOCD founder and AnimEigo CEO Justin Sevakis interviews several major figures of the Western anime industry and their history in the industry. Featured interviewees include Robert Napton (US Renditions), John O’Donnell (Central Park Media), and Tim Eldred (ourstarblazers.com website).
The Anime Business will be released on AnimEigo’s YouTube channel in the coming weeks, with new episodes coming out monthly.
Lastly, AnimEigo also provided updates on its previously announced releases of Nasu: Summer in Andalusia and Nobody’s Boy Remi.
Nasu: Summer in Andalusia will be shipped out on March 11, 2025 and is now available for pre-order on MediaOCD’s online store. A limited cardboard slipcover will also be included with orders made on the company’s website.
Some bonus features for the release include a teaser and main trailer, the entire film in storyboard form, several behind the scenes interviews, and premiere footage.
Meanwhile, the Blu-ray release of Nobody’s Boy Remi will be shipped out on May 11, 2025 and contain four total discs compiling 51 episodes. The series is published under the company’s “Ruined Childhood” label, and will be available with the original Japanese audio, English subtitles, and a French language dub. Pre-orders are now available via the MediaOCD store and an exclusive slipcover will be included.
AnimEigo also confirmed that the Blu-ray will include an optional 3D effect with a pair of 3D glasses. The 3D effect uses the Pulfrich effect, which was originally produced for the anime series.
