An upcoming YouTube livestream with new details for Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube has been scheduled for February 28, 2025 at 8:00 PM JST. The livestream can be accessed here.
The livestream event will feature Ryotaro Okiayu, who reprises his lead role as voice actor for Meisuke Nueno, also known as Nube. He will be joined by other cast members for the show, who will be announced during the livestream.
In addition, a special stage event for Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube has been confirmed for the GREEN STAGE at AnimeJapan 2025, which will take place this year at Tokyo Big Sight on March 22 and 23. The performers will include Okiayu and the cast members of Nube’s students, Ritsuko Takahashi, Yukime, and Kyosuke Tamamo.
The anime series is expected to premiere in Japan in July 2025. Remow licensed the series for release in several countries and territories. Studio Kai is in charge of the animation production.
Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube is based on the Jigoku Sensei Nube dark fantasy action manga, written by Sho Makura and illustrated by Takeshi Okano. It first debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on August 24, 1993 and was published until May 11, 1999.
The manga was followed up by Jigoku Sensei Nube NEO from 2014 to 2018 and Jigoku Sensei Nube S from 2018 to 2021, as well as the spin-offs Reibaishi Izuna and Reibaishi Izuna: Ascension in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
The series inspired a previous TV anime, produced by Toei Douga (now Toei Animation), that aired from 1996 to 1997 and a 2014 live-action TV drama. Several anime films and OVA episodes were also released throughout the late 1990s.

A number of inexplicable phenomena have been plaguing the town of Domori. In order to protect the town’s children, a new homeroom teacher known as “Nube” arrives.
